Record your observations

How to use the WaterbirdTracker

WaterbirdTracker has been designed for you to record waterbirds in your local area.

If you see Brolga, Black-necked Stork, Black Swan, Magpie Geese, Glossy Ibis or Spoonbills, we encourage you to record your observations in the WaterbirdTracker.

Getting Started is easy:

Step 1 Register your details

Register your details in WaterbirdTracker - Registering is quick and easy, and all your records will be secure and accessible to you when you login.
Step 2 Select 'Start Mapping' to record your observations

Record where you have seen these waterbirds, and any additional information about their habitat onto the Waterbird Tracker Map. To enter a sighting record, select the 'Add Sighting' tab, zoom to your current location and place a marker on the map, then select the species you saw, and enter any details about your waterbird observation. You can also upload a photo with your sighting record.

Step 3 Submit your record

Submit your record and view the details in the All Records, or My Data tab. You can also upload any photos you might have into the Photo Gallery and they will display on this website.
